Ali'i Nui is the great chief. Hawai'i had many great chiefs in all parts of the Hawaiian Islands. Here we show a chief at the center with the Kahuna nui (high priest) shown on the left. To his right, a noble soldier and three mo'o 'aumakua (gekko ancestor spirit).
