Kiko Manawa is interpreted as the "timekeepers" or a point in time. In the center is the petroglyph found carved in rock at Olowalu, Maui. At each side is the 'aumakua of mano (shark), and mo'o (lizard). The figures surrounding them are the ka'olohe. Ka'olohe were sacred, expert bodyguards to the chiefs. They held the secrets of an advanced type of hula called lua. Lua was a technique of martial arts disguised as hula for protection and self defense. The timekeepers exist in all dimensions and understand there is no time.
